I also can't say enough about your work on the mantel and beams - they are spectacular! It has added such a warmth to the home. Neighbors who have dropped in to see the place have commented that the new finishes make the home fit in so much more with its surroundings and we've passed your name on a lot. Thank you again for all of your help and the excellent job you all did for us. You made this project go so smoothly - especially considering we did a lot of this over the phone.

Seasoned homes branch out.

Additions and remodels have long been part of Centennial's repertoire ~ transforming homes with the dramatic strength and character of timbers. What is certainly evident upon entering a timber frame, is the beauty of its function. The purpose of a timber frame is to support the structure for many generations to come and provide enjoyment for those who move within.

Here are some of the latest . . .

but check back for finished photos, there's more to come!

Designed as a traditional saltbox for energy efficiency, this home is a full timber frame built in 1990 by the owners of Centennial Timber Frames. A timberframed greatroom was added, finished in 2007. Family and friends gathered to raise the addition – queen post trusses of recycled Doug fir. The room measures 20’ x 27’, floor to ridge peak is 15’9”. The enduring strength of wood creates a warm living space. Click to see the gallery...

This couple found us at the local Builder's Showcase homeshow . They had recently purchased this home, and were looking to make some significant design changes to the exterior. With their incredible view of the north end of the Swan Range from the existing deck, they wanted to increase and expand their use of this space - as a gathering place for friends and relatives as well as a peaceful private retreat. The queen post truss in the timber frame covered deck space spans 13'6" and stands 14'9" at the highest point of the ridge (from the deck). The same kiln dried Doug fir timbers also form the structure of the new deck system. Click to see the gallery...
